Charitable Work in the Community

Freemasonry is one of the United Kingdom’s largest charities donating over £33 million for good causes.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance received £8,000 from Yorkshire North & East Ridings.

2017 – 2018

Donation of £500 to Lifelites Charity which provides care and support of children with Cancer. Lifelites is a charity which gives life-limited and disabled children in hospices opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have, through the magic of assistive technology. Lifelites donates specialist assistive technology packages for these children and young people to play, be creative, control something for themselves and communicate, for as long as it is possible.

Donation of £200 to a young man from Woldgate School Pocklington.

Donation of £220 to The Gian Foundation. The Gian Foundation exists to support the education of underprivileged children in India, Liberia and other areas of the world where the education we take for granted in the UK isn’t freely available to all.

Donation of £100 to the Cancer Laryngectomee Trust. The Trust is to promote and assist the relief of all people in the UK who have had a laryngectomy. It was formed in 1985 by a laryngectomee, Sydney Norgate, to help provide support and understanding for people who are about to have, or have had, a laryngectomy. This donation was made following the death of one of our members who had been a Laryngectomee veteran, following cancer.

Donation of £100 to Stamford Bridge Community Pool. Towards a hoist at the swimming pool to aid Parkinson Disease sufferers.

Donation of £150.00 to All Saints Church Pocklington
